Course Description

This qualification prepares the graduate for the roles required of community services, case management and social housing workers involved in the managing, co-ordinating and/or delivering of person-centred services to individuals, groups and communities.

At this level, workers have specialised skills in community services and work autonomously under broad directions from senior management.

Workers are usually providing direct support to individuals or groups of individuals. Workers may also have responsibility for the supervision of other workers and volunteers and/or case management; program coordination or the development of new business opportunities. This qualification allows for area specialisation where selected units have been packaged.

What are the entry requirements?

There are no mandatory requirements to enter into this course. However, having completed Year 12, holding a Certificate IV or having work experience in the field will be an added benefit to get into this course.


How long will this course take me to complete?

The duration of the course is 52 weeks with vocational placement. You will be required to complete 100 work placement hours.


How will you be assessed?

You will be assessed through quizzes, activities, case study material and work placement assessment.
